Matt Lauer Interviews Toyota's US President Jim Lentz
Toyota US president Jim Lentz - “I drive Toyota’s , my family drives Toyota’s, my friends and neighbors drive Toyotas, I would not let them drive a Toyota if I didn’t feel confident.
Matt: “When did the company know of this problem?”
Lentz: “The first technical report was in late October of last year”
Matt: “Was that entrapment issue or sticking pedals?”
Lentz stated the sticking pedals was known since October last year - Mat entrapment was prior to that.
Matt: “On CTS: CTS says we’re being blamed here, we are not at fault.”
Lentz: “Our goal has always been to be #1 in the hearts and minds of our customers”
